Vendor Coordinator

Feel the Beat Productions

Joette, is the Founder of Jo-Et-Tics Line Dance, Stretch & Trim.  She is a native Philadelphian who grew up in a very diverse environment of talent and entertainment.  In her High School years I embraced the arts through dance under a renowned Instructor and Choreographer.  During her college years she became a Choreographer/Instructor, and was the first Black Female Newscaster and Primetime D.J. at C.C.P. (Community College of Philadelphia) which resulted in air time for her on an area radio station that broadcast from Hazelton, Pennsylvania.  Her first audition with the renowned (C.C.P.) Chorale Ensemble earned me the position of 1st Soprano

Joette was introduced to Line Dancing in 2001 and was intrigued by its’ complexity and simplicity and decided to create a genre of dance with a healthy new twist.  Her own brand of physical fitness was borne, namely JO-ET-TICS Line Dance, Stretch & Trim.  A healthier lifestyle is her goal and to teach other women who that they can do it as well.

Joette has been a coordinator and instructor for several of Feel the Beat Productions’ dance workshops throughout the Tri-state area.  In June, 2006, she was a Judge and Line dance instructor at the 2nd Annual Texas Regional Competition and Social Dance in Houston, Texas.

Joette is also the host and instructor of the “Lunch Hour Line Dance Workout with JO-ET-TICS” in Love Park, which is her voluntary program sanctioned by the City of Philadelphia, that provides an outlet for fitness, camaraderie and stress release to the citizens of Philadelphia.  Every Wednesday, from May to October, Joette, with the help of friends, teaches new and old dances to the people of Philly!

Joette has been featured on ABC Channel 6 Visions, PrimeTime, the Discovery Channel, and have demonstrated the benefits of Jo-Et-Tics at the NBC 10 Fit Fest, the American Red Cross Walk and the Sisters-In-Shape (S.I.S.) Fitness Explosion and affiliated with the City’s Department of Recreation, the American Heart Association, and various other community groups.  “Fitness and Fun, All-In-One” is her motto.  Start dancing toward a healthier you.  She did, and you can too.

Renee RiversWorkshop MC

Renee Rivers

Renee C. Rivers was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland.

Renee is a member of LMCplusOne which was formed in 2001 to promote the art of Line Dancing .  The name LMC was derived from the first names of the original members of the group, Linda, Marie and Carol.  In 2002,  Renee joined the group and LMC became LMCplusOne.

Renee started line dancing in 1999 with the city of Baltimore's Health and Fitness Program.  Shirley Duncan and Lewis Neal were her first instructors. Linda, a member of LMCplusOne, inspired and encouraged Renee to become a line dance instructor.  Linda saw something special in Renee, and she thought that Renee could be an integral part of the line dance community.

Renee's attendance in 2002 at Gloria Kingcade's Line Dance class at the Friendship Neighborhood Guild was her first introduction to the Philadelphia line dance scene.  Renee, along with the members of LMCplusOne, has attended all of the Feel the Beat Production Summits since it's inception in 2002.  These events began a longstanding line of relationships with the Philly family  and LMCplusOne began sharing the Philly dances with their Baltimore family.

In 2007, Renee was the first instructor to win the Maryland Instructor of the Year Award at the Union Crew Star Award's Ceremony held in Baltimore, Maryland.

Renee teaches classes in and around the Baltimore Metropolitan Area Mondays through Thursdays.  On Fridays, Renee relaxes and enjoys the art of line dancing at Club Reality which is hosted by Randy Dennis.

Theresa Instructor Coordinator

Theresa

theresa@ftbdancesummit.com

Theresa started taking line dance classes at Sayre Recreational Center with Gloria Kincade as her instructor back since February 2002. She learned all the lastest new steps of this craze that seem to be sweeping over the party scene.

At class, She met a wonderful group of ladies who enjoyed line dancing just as much as she did. They started traveling and hanging out together at various dance events. In August 2003, they formed the group as "Ladies First Productions". With the enthusiasm she had for what she was learning, she decided to share her talent and excitement with others. In April 2004, she began teaching her own line dance classes at the Motor Lodge Inn in Philadelphia for Club En Stepp.

Today, her passion is stronger than ever as she continue to teach at the Tabernacle Lutheran Church at 59th & Spruce in Philadelphia. She is continuously learning dances as well as creating new ones to teach. She has found line dancing to be a wonderful stress reliever and great exercise. She has met so many people, near and far, and have formed many longstanding friendships from this activity.

Her students give her adrenaline to continue to do what she does. Her enjoyment comes from seeing them learn and whether they realize it or not they keep her "grounded"... except when she is working it out on the dance floor.
